Craso error. Como muchos coet\u00e1neos suyos, el saxofonista vivi\u00f3 completamente consumido por el amor a la m\u00fasica: nunca dej\u00f3 de estudiar y perfeccionar el oficio, motivo suficiente para que los aficionados a esta parcela del jazz no pierdan de pista ninguna fase de su larga carrera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En su momento Geller estuvo en el ojo del hurac\u00e1n del jazz neoyorquino \u2013fue quien present\u00f3 a Scott LaFaro y Bill Evans\u2013 donde lleg\u00f3 a liderar, aunque brevemente, un quinteto de excepci\u00f3n (Booker Little, Barry Harris, LaFaro y Dannie Richmond), pero desde finales de los sesenta vivi\u00f3 en Alemania. De hecho, el cuarteto que presenta en esta grabaci\u00f3n (producida y fotografiada por Jordi Su\u00f1ol) es t\u00edpicamente europeo (Drew no contaba como extranjero a esas alturas).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Del contenido del disco hay que se\u00f1alar el discreto pero eficaz papel de Drew y Taylor. El pianista tiene algunos momentos interesantes a dos manos, pero en general tanto \u00e9l como el bater\u00eda se mantienen en un discreto segundo plano. NH\u00d8P es&#8230; NH\u00d8P y hace todo lo que le pasa por la cabeza, incluido el enunciado de \u00abCheryl\u00bb al un\u00edsono con Geller, o un elegante acompa\u00f1amiento de acordes en el d\u00fao \u00abAutumn Nocturne\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En todo caso, la estrella es el l\u00edder de las sesiones, por la combinaci\u00f3n de un sonido m\u00e1s cercano a Benny Carter que a la acidez de generaciones posteriores, que combina con un ataque rotundo y una agilidad pasmosa por la falta de esfuerzo aparente.
