En <i>Nourishment<\/i> realiza una aproximaci\u00f3n a la tradici\u00f3n del jazz en la que no evita explorar diferentes elementos por medio del empleo puntual de m\u00e9tricas inusuales \u00a0y la utilizaci\u00f3n de diferentes elementos improvisatorios. Para semejante tarea Dresser utiliza a unos m\u00fasicos con los que tiene una relaci\u00f3n musical que viene de tiempo atr\u00e1s: el saxofonista Rudresh Mahanthappa (colaborador entre otros de Vijay Iyer), el trombonista Michael Dessen, Denman Maroney (cuyo piano con elementos aplicados directamente sobre las cuerdas en su interior denomina <i>hyperpiano<\/i>) y los bateristas Michael Sarin y Tom Rainey (que se reparten su participaci\u00f3n a lo largo de los siete temas). En este tipo de experimentos los m\u00fasicos corren el peligro de incidir en un determinado aspecto obviando el resto, consiguiendo un resultado que se puede calificar como desequilibrado en el mejor de los casos. Por fortuna en esta obra Dresser consigue un conjunto lleno de buenos temas, en los que destacan unas piezas a medio tiempo m\u00e1s que notables. Los que los m\u00fasicos se explayan con unas magn\u00edficas intervenciones.
