Don Cherry, Charlie Haden y Billy Higgins acompa\u00f1aban a Ornette Coleman (autor de todas las composiciones), en el desarrollo de su concepci\u00f3n musical. No habr\u00eda mucho que a\u00f1adir a la importancia de esta grabaci\u00f3n. Su m\u00fasica, si bien se desarrollaba de un modo libre, lo hac\u00eda sin llegar al nivel de ruptura del seminal\u00a0<em>Free Jazz<\/em>. Por otra parte, all\u00ed aparec\u00edan algunos de los temas que est\u00e1n entre lo m\u00e1s celebrado de su autor: \u00abUna muy bonita\u00bb, \u00abRamblin'\u00bb o \u00abBird Food\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A los temas incluidos en el LP original se a\u00f1aden en esta reedici\u00f3n dos m\u00e1s grabados en las mismas sesiones en las que se registr\u00f3 dicha obra (el 8 y 9 de octubre de 1959). Aunque \u00abMusic Always\u00bb y \u00abCrossroads\u00bb no entraron en <em>Change of the Century<\/em>, se publicaron posteriormente en <em>The Art Of The Improvisers<\/em> y <em>To Whom Who Keeps A Record<\/em>. Los tres temas restantes son lo m\u00e1s interesante entre el material a\u00f1adido a la reedici\u00f3n del LP original. Grabados en directo en octubre de 1958 en el Hillcrest Club de Los Angeles, el cuarteto se convierte en quinteto con el a\u00f1adido del pianista Paul Bley. En primer lugar, no son muchos los pianistas que han acompa\u00f1ado al saxofonista a lo largo de su carrera.
