A esta inusual combinaci\u00f3n del d\u00fao se a\u00f1ade en <em>#1<\/em> el saxof\u00f3n de Steve Williamson, lo que no evita que el grupo contin\u00fae teniendo\u00a0una sonoridad poco habitual.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los tres temas que componen el\u00a0CD (\u00abThere Goes The Neighbourhood!\u00bb, \u00abGuess Who&#8217;s Coming To Dinner?\u00bb, \u00abArchaic Nubian Step\u00bb) aunque aparecen como creaciones de los tres m\u00fasicos, est\u00e1n integradas por distintas partes en las que van surgiendo diferentes melod\u00edas. En \u00abThere Goes the Neigbourhood!\u00bb las l\u00edneas cortas y repetitivas del saxo de Steve Williamson sirven para crear un tema intenso en el que se emplean unas programaciones que crean algo parecido a un <em>drum&#8217;n&#8217;bass<\/em> de corte primitivo. Entre todo ello se van creando unas magn\u00edficas interacciones entre la marimba, el piano y el saxo. El \u00fanico pero que se le puede poner al tema es el final un tanto abrupto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El ritmo es un elemento indispensable en la m\u00fasica de Black Top. No aparece como un elemento primigenio a partir del que se construye la propuesta, pero s\u00ed como un elemento central que a su vez sirve para evocar en\u00a0la memoria del oyente un\u00a0cierto aire \u00e9tnico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La extensa (23 minutos) \u00abGuess who&#8217;s Coming To Dinner?\u00bb es toda una traves\u00eda musical en la que van apareciendo distintas interacciones entre los m\u00fasicos (el saxo con el piano, posteriormente con la marimba; un gran solo de piano sobre unos suaves apuntes de marimba, que es r\u00edtmico, intenso, mel\u00f3dico). Hacia la mitad del tema aparecen las programaciones que hacen que aparezca ese car\u00e1cter pseudo \u00e9tnico ya mencionado. A partir de all\u00ed van teniendo lugar distintos solos de saxo soprano, marimba&#8230; El final de esta pieza, con la m\u00fasica lanzada al terreno de la abstracci\u00f3n por parte de los tres m\u00fasicos, est\u00e1 mucho mejor acabado que en el primero de los temas, con un final menos abrupto.
