Aunque el <em>Jazz Fusion<\/em> se identifica como un movimiento dentro del jazz desde finales de la d\u00e9cada de los 60, si algo caracteriza a esta m\u00fasica desde sus inicios es su capacidad de fusionarse con (otros dir\u00e1n apropiarse de) m\u00fasicas con procedencias de lo m\u00e1s diverso. Dicho lo cual, vayan unas cuantas fusiones \u2013actuales- de jazz con&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hendrix: Raoul Bj\u00f6rkenheim es un guitarrista finland\u00e9s que se mueve en los terrenos de la libre improvisaci\u00f3n. Los excesos de algunas de sus propuestas (especialmente en directo) permanecen enjauladas en <em>eCsTaSy<\/em> (Cuneiform). Sus temas remiten al <em>free jazz<\/em> (la inmediatez de Ayler, la espirituallidad de Coltrane), pero tambi\u00e9n a \u00c1frica, al rock y a temas con un <em>groove<\/em> ciertamente delicioso. Variedad y potencia bajo control.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica: la Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra y un plantel de grandes figuras como Bobby Mcferrin (que hace una de sus demostraciones <em>solivocales<\/em>), los pianistas Chick Corea y Dave Grusin, el trompetista Terence Blanchard interpretan en <em>Jazz &amp; The Philarmonic<\/em> (Okeh) piezas como El \u201cConcierto de Aranjuez\u201d de J.Rodrigo, \u00abSpain\u00bb, el \u201cSolfeggietto\u201d de C.E. Bach, \u201cThe Man I Love\u201d de los Gershwin, la \u201cFuga en Do menor\u201d de J.S.Bach, \u201cCharada\u201d de Mancini o el <em>standard<\/em> de origen h\u00fangaro \u201cAutumn Leaves\u201d. Temas muy conocidos que lejos de aparecer uniformizados, reciben unos tratamientos \u00abpersonalizados\u00bb: los hay en solo, d\u00fao, tr\u00edo, cuarteto\u2026 con el a\u00f1adido -o no- de la orquesta. Jazz intemporal, que en el DVD que acompa\u00f1a al CD se beneficia de una componente visual y unos temas extra que sirve para incrementar el disfrute de la m\u00fasica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El flamenco: elegante la m\u00fasica del quinteto del guitarrista Luis Balaguer en <em>Verdeo<\/em>. Composiciones originales, con una formaci\u00f3n con saxos, vibr\u00e1fono, contrabajo y percusiones. M\u00fasica bonita (no en el sentido \u00f1o\u00f1o que puede tener el t\u00e9rmino), en el que el esp\u00edritu de la propuesta puede recordar a lo mejor del Pat Metheny m\u00e1s orientado a la fusi\u00f3n, aunque en el caso de esta obra la mirada es hacia el flamenco.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La m\u00fasica \u00e1rabe: el octeto Gabacho Maroconnection cuenta en <em>Bissara<\/em> (Label Oued) con la participaci\u00f3n de m\u00fasicos franceses, espa\u00f1oles y marroqu\u00edes. El componente \u00e9tnico ha estado presente en propuestas jazz\u00edsticas muy populares (l\u00e9ase, por ejemplo, Weather Report), pero para incorporar elementos de la m\u00fasica marroqu\u00ed qu\u00e9 mejor que contar con m\u00fasicos de esa nacionalidad.
