ISBN: 84 406 5898 2<br \/>\nIdioma: espa\u00f1ol<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Miles Davis<\/strong> ha sido posiblemente el m\u00fasico de jazz que m\u00e1s bibliograf\u00eda ha generado a lo largo de la historia. Varias biograf\u00edas de periodistas o gente cercana, estudios sobre sus obras y, en el caso que nos ocupa, su autobiograf\u00eda. Autobiograf\u00eda que no redact\u00f3 \u00e9l mismo. De eso se encarg\u00f3 su amigo el periodista <strong>Quincy Troupe<\/strong>, de recopilar en primera persona las vivencias y opiniones de <strong>Miles<\/strong> y de darles formato y continuidad.<\/p>\n<p>Un <strong>Miles<\/strong> sin pelos en la lengua, como siempre, relata todas sus inquietudes y sentimientos, ya sean musicales o no, con un alt\u00edsimo nivel de implicaci\u00f3n y no falto de humor. Opiniones radicales con las que uno no tiene necesariamente por qu\u00e9 estar de acuerdo, pero que dan la medida de la forma de trabajo del genio de St. Louis. No obstante antes de emprender la lectura de este libro es recomendable conocer la vida de <strong>Davis<\/strong> desde otro punto de vista, a ser posible m\u00e1s objetivo, lo que hace de esta obra un grand\u00edsimo complemento, siendo m\u00e1s discutible su valor como lectura hist\u00f3rica independiente. Tambi\u00e9n es recomendable, para quien vaya a leer esta edici\u00f3n inglesa, hacerse previamente con un diccionario de \u2018slang\u2019 o lenguaje callejero, ya que las expresiones utilizadas no son nada evidentes en muchos casos.<\/p>\n<p>El esp\u00edritu del texto (que incluye varias p\u00e1ginas de antiguas fotos de <strong>Miles<\/strong>), y el inter\u00e9s que a buen seguro despierta, lo podemos ver reflejado en el primer p\u00e1rrafo del mismo:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEscucha. La primera gran sensaci\u00f3n que tuve en mi vida (con la ropa puesta) fue cuando escuch\u00e9 por primera vez a <strong>Diz<\/strong> y <strong>Bird<\/strong> juntos en St. Louis, Missouri, all\u00e1 por 1944.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Con o sin ropa puesta, es una lectura m\u00e1s que interesante.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\">\n<a href=\"mailto:mail@arturomora.com\"><br \/>\nArturo Mora Rioja<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MILES.
