En una mirada al detalle, luego nacieron grupos que se identificaron o desarrollaron m\u00e1s unas corrientes que otras de las citadas. As\u00ed por ejemplo, y ya entrando en nombres asociados al jazz, Boxhead Ensemble, donde particip\u00f3 Vandermark, se decant\u00f3 por l\u00edneas largas y contemplativas en un enfoque de c\u00e1mara; Jeff Parker se dedic\u00f3 al jazz <em>vintage<\/em> o retro con un uso muy matizado del sonido el\u00e9ctrico de su guitarra; y Fred Lonberg- Holm sorprendi\u00f3 a todos con su hermosa y distendida, nada crispada, trilog\u00eda\u00a0<em>Valentine<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Las influencias <em>post<\/em> desde Chicago, lejos de desvanecerse en el \u00e9ter que acompa\u00f1a las m\u00faltiples etiquetas del pop, sigui\u00f3 nutriendo a grupos m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de su \u00e1rea de influencia f\u00edsica y tambi\u00e9n retroaliment\u00e1ndose de todo ese compendio de estilos antes descrito. El jazz de vanguardia ha tomado buena nota de todo ello y no pocos autores han presentado algunos de los mejores trabajos en ese terreno -sin due\u00f1o experimental- que\u00a0conecta el rock progresivo, el <em>free jazz<\/em> y la m\u00fasica contempor\u00e1nea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Battle Trance es un joven cuarteto de saxofones que toma el relevo del hist\u00f3rico de la Costa Oeste Rova Saxophone en un planteamiento en planos suspendidos que ya otros han indagado. Recordar el primer trabajo, en estas p\u00e1ginas comentado, de Matt Bauder\u00a0<em>Weary Already on the way<\/em> (482 music, 2003) y este mismo concepto aislado y ampliado a tr\u00edo en Memorize The Sky. O, no por excepcional y desconocido menos af\u00edn, est\u00e1 el interesant\u00edsimo lienzo a\u00e9reo de <em>Who Cares how Long you Sink<\/em> (Lucky Kitchen 025, donde la lista de participantes incluye al propio Bauder, Kyle Bruckmann, Aram Shelton, Jeff Parker o Tim Daisy). Y para terminar, un trabajo que si cabe est\u00e1 m\u00e1s cerca de este <em>Palace of Wind<\/em> que los anteriores, el del saxofonista y DJ alem\u00e1n residente en Chicago Boris Hauf, que con su sexteto (inclu\u00eda a Jason Stein, Keefe Jackson o Frank Rossaly) entreg\u00f3 en Clean Feed<em> Next Delusion<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Palace of Wind<\/em>, registrado en un sello representante de la disoluci\u00f3n de barreras como NNA Tapes -engloba a artistas pop electr\u00f3nicos, experimentales en plan Oval o en la l\u00ednea de Jon Hassell, <em>noise-rock<\/em> fronterizo y paisajes sonoros- es un producto de este argumento que hemos trazado pero sobre todo es una fruto de la \u00faltimas piezas num\u00e9ricas de John Cage como\u00a0\u00abFour\u00bb\u00a0o\u00a0\u00abFifty-Eight\u00bb<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">En suma, estamos ante un tratamiento del sonido en notas extendidas y\u00a0superpuestas en los l\u00edmites de la tonalidad, de movimientos y din\u00e1micas lentas. Una construcci\u00f3n en planos que perfila tambi\u00e9n un sonido granular que desvirt\u00faa la esencia ac\u00fastica para invitar a una exposici\u00f3n a\u00e9rea y perturbadora. Consecuencia todo ello es perseguir un flujo de sonido cruzado que combina experiencias de la m\u00fasica de c\u00e1mara contempor\u00e1nea, el paisajismo y la m\u00fasica concreta. El jazz aqu\u00ed es un apunte biogr\u00e1fico que se hace difuso en sonidos.
