Sumamente comunicativo, el pianista protagoniza un recital compuesto por composiciones propias y <i>standards<\/i>.\u00a0<\/span>El inicio del CD con dos cl\u00e1sicos interpretados con gran delicadeza\u00a0(\u00abHello Young Lovers\u00bb y el tema de Brubeck \u00abIn Your Own Seet Way\u00bb) da paso, comentarios mediante, a la \u00abFamily Suite\u00bb en la que las diferentes partes muestran el amplio abanico de estilos que resid\u00edan en los dedos de este pianista: <i>swing y blues<\/i> por supuesto, pero tambi\u00e9n una consistente formaci\u00f3n en la m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica, en la que no reniega a introducirse en unos momentos de una intensa disonancia. De inspiraci\u00f3n cl\u00e1sica son tambi\u00e9n los momentos de su \u00abSpanish Tinge No.1\u00bb (que remite a la tradici\u00f3n musical del Caribe), o a la divertida \u00abEuropean Episode\u00bb que constituye un viaje sonoro con paradas en distintos lugares (incluyendo Barcelona, San Sebasti\u00e1n y Madrid entre otras ciudades europeas), y \u00e9pocas. Alternados entre esos temas aparecen otros <i>standards<\/i>. El homenaje a Billy Strayhorn \u2013 Duke Ellington en el que interpreta \u00abCaravan\u00bb (que nos lleva a la mism\u00edsima Arabia), y que contrasta con la calma del inicio de este <i>medley<\/i> con \u00abDay Dream\u00bb. El cl\u00e1sico \u00abSweet Georgia Brown\u00bb se transforma en una caleidosc\u00f3pia batidora de estilos, mientras que en el <i>medley<\/i> construido a partir de los <em>standards<\/em> \u00abAll the Things You Are\u00bb y \u00abI&#8217;ll Remember April\u00bb alterna el blues y la m\u00fasica barroca, los momentos calmados con los m\u00e1s animados.
