Guitarrista autodidacta, tambi\u00e9n es manipulador de cintas, giradiscos, osciloscopios, <em>samplers <\/em>o instrumentos folkl\u00f3ricos. Es un m\u00fasico encuadrado dentro de la m\u00fasica experimental que ha participado en proyectos de free jazz, m\u00fasica punk o <em>avant-garde<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Multiple Otomo <\/em>es uno de sus \u00faltimos proyectos discogr\u00e1ficos. Compuesto por un <em>cd <\/em>y un <em>dvd<\/em>, <em>Monochrome Otomo <\/em>y <em>Multiple Otomo <\/em>respectivamente, sus t\u00edtulos podr\u00edan inducir a pensar que nos encontramos ante una recopilaci\u00f3n de parte de su carrera. Nada m\u00e1s lejos de la realidad. Las 48 piezas que integran esta obra son un disco en solitario de este mago del sonido. Haciendo uso de guitarras, giradiscos o generadores de ondas, Yoshihide construye un muestrario perfecto, un cat\u00e1logo imponente de sus capacidades como m\u00fasico experimental. As\u00ed, es capaz de integrar en su discurso elementos como el ruido blanco, los acoples o el sonido producido por la destrucci\u00f3n del soporte mismo de la m\u00fasica. Totalmente coherente con este hecho, el artista no tiene problema alguno en utilizar su giradiscos sin discos o incorporar muelles, gomas el\u00e1sticas o cualquier elemento capaz de producir sonido de cualquier forma imaginable o no.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">El <em>dvd<\/em>, <em>Multiple Otomo<\/em>, est\u00e1 estructurado en torno a las filmaciones de Masako Tanaka, Tim Digulla y Michelle Silva, e incluye 30 piezas. Su visi\u00f3n permite adentrarnos en la generaci\u00f3n (real o simulada) de tan particular universo sonoro. Este aspecto visual se impone en algunos momentos sobre lo puramente sonoro: el resultado es una creaci\u00f3n en la que se quiebra el discurso musical, que queda condicionado muchas veces a la tarea de los v\u00eddeo creadores.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Por fortuna, nada de esto ocurre a lo largo de las 18 piezas que componen el <em>cd Monochrome Otomo<\/em>. La ausencia de todo est\u00edmulo visual, impone, a la vez que sugiere, la creaci\u00f3n de un discurso que, si bien desnudo, resulta muy variado y lleno de sentido. Asimilable conceptualmente a la realidad de la naturaleza, bella por definici\u00f3n, contiene un microcosmos en el que conviven momentos crispados, nerviosos, ca\u00f3ticos e incluso insoportables con otros llenos de quietud o melod\u00eda.
