Su toque aterciopelado y mel\u00f3dico, pero tambi\u00e9n desgarrador es uno de los hitos m\u00e1s transcendentales en la m\u00fasica improvisada. Su gran m\u00e9rito fue adaptar un instrumento de m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica como el viol\u00edn al campo del jazz, dejando at\u00f3nitos a los f\u00e9rreos defensores del clasicismo. Con el inolvidable Django Reinhart, otro de los pioneros, conquist\u00f3 Estados Unidos, de donde sali\u00f3 catapultado hacia la inmortalidad con su inconfundible estilo. El llamado <em>gipsy swing<\/em> est\u00e1 presente, como no pod\u00eda ser de otra forma, a lo largo de esta grabaci\u00f3n del a\u00f1o 1975, <em>Violinspiration<\/em>, formando parte de un engrasado equipo con el tr\u00edo del guitarrista Diz Disley, junto a Ike Isaacs, tambi\u00e9n a las cuerdas, y el contrabajista Isla Eckinger. Los temas despliegan las grandes virtudes del m\u00fasico parisino a trav\u00e9s de <em>standards<\/em> como \u201cShine\u201d, \u201cAin&#8217;t Misbehavin\u201d, \u201cSolitude\u201d, \u201cLover Man\u201d y \u201cCherokee\u201d, entre otros.
