Hot Cup Records (2014)\" width=\"200\" height=\"180\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A lo largo de la historia del jazz ha habido varios momentos cr\u00edticos (peleas a limpio guantazo incluidas entre defensores de distintos estilos), en los que se ha cuestionado su propia esencia a partir de cuestiones estil\u00edsticas, arm\u00f3nicas e incluso geogr\u00e1ficas. Sin embargo es en 2014, con la publicaci\u00f3n de <i>Blue<\/i> por parte de los iconoclastas MOPDTK, cuando m\u00e1s certeramente se ha reconsiderado su propia esencia de arriba abajo. En un momento de aparente estabilidad (no hay movimientos que amenacen su <i>status quo<\/i>), su osad\u00eda ha sido brutalmente sencilla: tomar el disco m\u00e1s popular y reconocible de la historia del jazz, el m\u00edtico <i>Kind Of Blue<\/i> de Miles Davis, y reproducirlo nota a nota. Algo tan aparentemente inocente es una carga de profundidad en toda regla. Una m\u00fasica aparentemente creativa, improvisada en su esencia, pasa a ser totalmente pautada y predeterminada: se convierte en pura m\u00fasica de repertorio. A partir de aqu\u00ed varias reflexiones &#8211; preguntas: \u00bfqu\u00e9 sentido tiene intentar ense\u00f1ar en los conservatorios a batirse el cobre en la improvisaci\u00f3n reproduciendo solos creados hace d\u00e9cadas? \u00bfQu\u00e9 m\u00e9rito creativo reside en la mera imitaci\u00f3n o en reivindicar los m\u00e9ritos de lo que ya fue como pretexto al no arriesgarse ahora? \u00bfEs el jazz voces que ya fueron, o es las individualidades que son y ser\u00e1n? Una posible respuesta es bien simple: el jazz consiste en buscar una voz propia.
