Recibo el impacto, la agradable acometida sonora. Seis \u00f3rganos que desde el primer segundo abofetean el silencio. Este, sin m\u00e1s remedio, contornea su inerte cuerpo. Hay un <em>groove <\/em>irresistible que as\u00ed lo provoca. Al igual que provoca hordas de placer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tras la primera escucha entera de <em>Robin Goodie<\/em> (Whirlwind Recordings, 2015) mis primeros pensamientos son parecidos a los de <a title=\"Zhenya Strigalev\u2019s Smiling Organizm (Bogui Jazz, Madrid. 2015-02-12)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/?p=17142\" target=\"_blank\">Carlos Lara en su cr\u00f3nica del concierto del pasado doce de febrero<\/a>. \u00bfQui\u00e9n demonios es este joven saxofonista? Seguidamente, al cabo de unos pocos segundos, me digo: afirmar\u00eda sin demasiado temor que <a title=\"INSTANTZZ: Zhenya Strigalev\u2019s Smiling Organizm\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/?p=17159\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Zhenya Strigalev<\/strong><\/a> es un escuchador incansable de m\u00fasica. Enfoca sus composiciones desde la apreciaci\u00f3n y la asimilaci\u00f3n del jazz cl\u00e1sico pero mirando al presente y al futuro. Da la impresi\u00f3n de que ha escuchado muy atentamente a Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Art Pepper&#8230; Hablo de enriquecedora influencia no de mera reproducci\u00f3n. \u201cSharp Night\u201d es un buen ejemplo, tema con fuerte aroma a <em>hard bop <\/em>que transmuta y suena actual.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(Seg\u00fan nuestra posici\u00f3n, nuestra pierna empieza una vida propia durante seis minutos con treinta y nueve segundos).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Siguiendo con las influencias, dejando (sin dejarlo) de lado el jazz m\u00e1s cl\u00e1sico, hay mucha modernidad en su m\u00fasica. Hay <em>funk<\/em>, como podr\u00eda ser en \u201cKuku\u201d. Hay acercamiento al <em>free jazz<\/em> en \u201cPersonal Opinion\u201d aunque con una introducci\u00f3n y conclusi\u00f3n bien mel\u00f3dica. El <em>groove<\/em> irrumpe irresistible en \u201cHorizontal Apreciation\u201d a cargo de, sobretodo, el gran trabajo de <strong>Tim Lefebvre<\/strong> al bajo el\u00e9ctrico, junto con <strong>Larry Grenadier<\/strong> al contrabajo y <strong>Eric Harland<\/strong> a la bater\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Llegado a este punto quiero, precisamente, destacar el hecho de que la formaci\u00f3n incluya el bajo el\u00e9ctrico y el contrabajo mezcl\u00e1ndose en varios de los temas. En muchas ocasiones creando peque\u00f1os bucles dando sensaci\u00f3n de r\u00edtmica expansiva. <strong>Tim Lefebvre<\/strong> me parece una pieza fundamental en todo el disco. El sonido peculiar del sexteto pasa por sus dedos. Adem\u00e1s, se atreve con algunas diabluras cercanas a sonidos electr\u00f3nicos, y se las arregla para que nada desentone. El resto de la formaci\u00f3n, como m\u00fasicos respetad\u00edsimos con curr\u00edculos envidiables, realizan un trabajo altamente pulcro si hablamos de t\u00e9cnica, pero al estar al servicio de Strigalev, hay respuesta a su demanda, y esta se traduce en diversi\u00f3n. En espontaneidad.
