Cuando la etiqueta \u00abimprovisaci\u00f3n libre\u00bb aparece en la descripci\u00f3n de una propuesta art\u00edstica, en muchos casos\u00a0aparecen sin soluci\u00f3n de continuidad\u00a0una serie de prejuicios (que no repetir\u00e9 aqu\u00ed), que no hacen sino mostrar una de las m\u00faltiples\u00a0caras que est\u00e1n presentes en un\u00a0g\u00e9nero tan poli\u00e9drico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En <em>Sumari<\/em>\u00a0las melod\u00edas predominan a lo largo de toda la grabaci\u00f3n. A esto se une la amplia variedad de timbres que aportan los instrumentos que emplean los tres m\u00fasicos:\u00a0m\u00e1s de una docena seg\u00fan la lista que se incluye en la carpeta del CD, entre los que se incluyen una amplia variedad de peque\u00f1as percusiones \u00e9tnicas, distintos instrumentos tanto de viento madera como de viento metal, adem\u00e1s de la guitarra, el violonchelo y la mandola. Tambi\u00e9n es importante el distinto enfoque que presentan las improvisaciones, en las que la interacci\u00f3n de los m\u00fasicos es un elemento esencial. \u00abReincarnational Civilizations\u00bb es un tema abierto, de car\u00e1cter casi cinematogr\u00e1fico. \u00abAlternate Presents and Multiple Focus\u00bb tiene un magn\u00edfico desarrollo: tras un comienzo pausado en el\u00a0que la trompeta marca la direcci\u00f3n secundada en su discurso por sus dos acompa\u00f1antes, la pieza va aumentando el tempo consiguiendo que los doce minutos de duraci\u00f3n transcurran en un santiam\u00e9n. Las dos \u00faltimas piezas aportan una nueva dimensi\u00f3n a la m\u00fasica del tr\u00edo:\u00a0\u00abThe Gates Of Horn\u00bb trae a la memoria temas de la m\u00fasica tradicional, mientras que la breve \u00abThe Nature of Mass Events\u00bb remite al origen afroamericano del jazz, y es un magn\u00edfico paradigma de c\u00f3mo la improvisaci\u00f3n libre puede ser justo lo contrario que lo que a veces se supone que es.
