En el caso de Benny Goodman, sus combos sirvieron adem\u00e1s para ir presentando m\u00fasicos afroamericanos sobre el mismo escenario que sus colegas de ascendencia europea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Si el tr\u00edo con Teddy Wilson y el cuarteto con Lionel Hampton ha pasado justamente a la historia, el sexteto con Charlie Christian debe estar como m\u00ednimo a la misma altura. No s\u00f3lo sirvi\u00f3 de entrada de la guitarra el\u00e9ctrica en la cultura popular del siglo XX, sino que la m\u00fasica que produjo en apenas 18 meses es antol\u00f3gica. En dos etapas (la primera hasta el verano de 1940 con Lionel Hampton, la segunda hasta la primavera del 41 con Cootie Williams y George Auld) este grupo produjo una serie muy consistente de peque\u00f1os cl\u00e1sicos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00abI found a new baby\u00bb es uno de ellos. Grabado el 15 de enero de 1941 con el a\u00f1adido de la notable presencia de Jo Jones y Count Basie en la r\u00edtmica, el grupo le saca todo el jugo a este agridulce tema en menores, en el que destacan los <em>riffs<\/em> de acompa\u00f1amiento detr\u00e1s de Cootie Williams (tentativos en la primera toma, consolidados en la segunda) y, sobre todo, el espectacular solo de Charlie Christian, perfecto en su sutileza r\u00edtmica y visionario de un <em>bebop<\/em> que estaba a la vuelta de la esquina, pero que \u00e9l no llegar\u00eda a ver.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Disponible en diversas reediciones a nombre de Charlie Christian o Benny Goodman.
