En 2013 la guitarrista <strong>Mary<\/strong> <strong>Halvorson<\/strong> y el contrabajista <strong>Stephan Crump<\/strong> dieron el banderazo de salida al proyecto <strong>Secrect Keeper<\/strong> con un CD constituido por improvisaciones. Un par de a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s el proyecto da un paso adelante. Lo que en el estreno eran creaciones instant\u00e1neas, en esta ocasi\u00f3n son composiciones de la guitarrista y el contrabajista. Entre estas se incluye una sorprendente revisi\u00f3n del tema de Cole Porter \u201cWhat\u2019ll I Do\u201d en el que la lluvia de Nueva York se cuela en la grabaci\u00f3n, y en cierto modo establece el tono pausado y tranquilo por el que transcurre la mayor parte del resto de <em>Emerge<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mary Halvorson muestra como compositora una faceta muy interesante, ya que una gran parte de sus creaciones comparten el car\u00e1cter mel\u00f3dico de las creaciones de Stephan Crump. El otro aspecto es su angulosidad t\u00edpica, que alcanza momentos de especial intensidad cuando con su guitarra se aproxima a los terrenos de una sonoridad <em>rockera<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ante la tesitura de seguir la senda improvisatoria iniciada por <em>Super Eight<\/em>, o la valent\u00eda de dar un bandazo creativo entrando en el terreno de las composiciones, Crump y Halvorson han optado por lo segundo.
