Durante unos breves a\u00f1os, un lustro a lo sumo, fue el m\u00fasico m\u00e1s popular, al menos entre la juventud estadounidense. Fue el \u00abrey del Swing\u00bb, lo que, al tratarse de un blanco (da igual que en su infancia y juventud fuera m\u00e1s pobre que las piedras) y haber tenido \u00e9xito comercial lo convierte en poco menos que el anticristo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Entre los olvidos de la historia y cuestiones como que el clarinete ya no es lo que era en el jazz, parece oportuno recordar que el bueno de Goodman (atenci\u00f3n al pol\u00edglota y h\u00e1bil juego de palabras) era un m\u00fasico de jazz como la copa de un pino.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Para muestra, este bot\u00f3n grabado el 13 de junio de 1928, con apenas 19 a\u00f1itos. Aqu\u00ed, en formato de tr\u00edo con piano (Mel Stitzel) y bater\u00eda (Bob Conselman), que repetir\u00eda con \u00e9xito siete a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s con Teddy Wilson y Gene Krupa, el joven Goodman rompe la pana, que me siga quien pueda, sus y a ellos mis muchachos.
