Una de las cosas m\u00e1s divertidas que tiene el jazz es su capacidad de fagocitar sin piedad los prejuicios que los aficionados nos imponemos etiquetas mediante. Un buen ejemplo es el tema de David Holland que daba t\u00edtulo al disco publicado por ECM en el a\u00f1o 1973. Ni lo del sello alem\u00e1n es siempre el sonido et\u00e9reo del norte de Europa, ni (sobre todo) eso de la vanguardia presupone la ausencia de melod\u00edas. El contrabajista ingl\u00e9s logr\u00f3 crear una de las composiciones m\u00e1s brillantes de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, acompa\u00f1ado en este disco por una formaci\u00f3n en la que participaban Anthony Braxton y Sam Rivers, dos primeros pesos de la vanguardia de la \u00e9poca. La introducci\u00f3n y la exposici\u00f3n del tema al contrabajo, acompa\u00f1ado por las flautas de los dos m\u00fasicos citados, junto a las percusiones y la marimba de Barry Altschul siguen siendo toda una caricia para los sentidos.<\/p>\n
