Estos mozalbetes locos por el jazz se reun\u00edan a tocar su m\u00fasica favorita, entonces dominada por King Oliver y los New Orleans Rhythm Kings, y escandalizar, de esa manera, a vecinos y familiares.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ecx.images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/61UdS53CDGL._SL500_AA280_.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" title=\"\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">VA - Jazz from the Windy City: 1927-1930<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">En los tiempos en los que s\u00ed era verdaderamente novedoso ver a m\u00fasicos tocando en grupo sin partituras, o ver a blanquitos tocando en tugurios de los barrios negros de Chicago, Bud Freeman (saxo tenor o mel\u00f3dico en do), Gene Krupa (bater\u00eda), Jimmy McPartland (corneta) y Frank Teschemacher (clarinete)\u00a0 entre otros se lanzaron a los brazos de la pasi\u00f3n por el jazz echando por la borda futuros profesionales tan prometedores como anodinos (aunque Tesch falleci\u00f3 en 1932 a los 26 a\u00f1os), y se dedicaron a hacer una m\u00fasica que a\u00fan hoy mantiene su encanto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00abNobody&#8217;s Sweetheart\u00bb es una joyita de 1927, el mismo de a\u00f1o del \u00abSingin&#8217; The Blues\u00bb de Trumbauer &amp; Beiderbecke, en la que coinciden Freeman, Krupa, McPartland y \u00abTesch\u00bb \u2013fue la primera o segunda grabaci\u00f3n de Krupa, a sus 18 a\u00f1itos\u2013 junto con Eddie Condon, Joe Sullivan al piano y Jim Lannigan al bajo. Aunque se grab\u00f3 a nombre de McKenzie &amp; Condon&#8217;s Chicagoans, lo cierto es que Red McKenzie no toca en la grabaci\u00f3n, de lo que cabe deducir que actu\u00f3 como productor junto con Condon, que s\u00ed toca.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">La m\u00fasica en s\u00ed constituye una de las mejores versiones de este tema. Lannigan no deja de <em>slappear<\/em> su contrabajo, y el resto de m\u00fasicos, que llevaban dos o tres a\u00f1os sin tocar juntos regularmente, suenan encantados de volver a encontrarse. Dicen que Bix Beiderbecke, referencia para los m\u00fasicos blancos de jazz de la \u00e9poca, escuch\u00f3 el disco al poco de publicarse y le pareci\u00f3 excelente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Y no ser\u00e1 el t\u00edo Adolphus quien contradiga a don Bix.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Disponible en numerosas reediciones, la del CD <em>Jazz at the Windy City<\/em> (Timeless, CBC 1-021) est\u00e1 remasterizada por J. R. T.
