Los inicios en Nueva Orleans y sus caracter\u00edsticas <em>marching bands<\/em>. Tambi\u00e9n de los pioneros como Buddy Bolden, que se puede calificar como el primer gran m\u00fasico de jazz, y The Original Dixieland Jazz Band, primer grupo que registr\u00f3 una grabaci\u00f3n de jazz.\u00a0Todo ello sirve de excusa para llevarnos a 1917 y escuchar esa primera grabaci\u00f3n de jazz. Otros m\u00fasicos de esa primera fase que suenan son Kid Ory, King Oliver y Louis Armstrong; tambi\u00e9n suenan la Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Benny Goodman, Miles Davis, Wynton Marsalis, Dee Dee Bridgewater y T. S.
