A este qu\u00edmico reconvertido en m\u00fasico se le puede considerar el padre de las <em>big bands<\/em>. Adelantado de alguna manera a su tiempo, fueron otros como Benny Goodman quienes cosecharon en plenitud el \u00e9xito de sus planteamientos, aunque bien es cierto que el caso del clarinetista le hizo part\u00edcipe de ello puesto que Henderson fue su arreglista. En el programa suena la m\u00fasica de Henderson interpretada tanto por sus grupos (Fletcher Henderson Orchestra, The Dixie Stompers), como por otros m\u00fasicos (Benny Goodman, Manhattan Transfer), as\u00ed como mostrando al Henderson pianista (junto a la enorme Bessie Smith). Tambi\u00e9n sirve para adelantar la siguiente figura que pasar\u00e1 por la odisea: Louis Armstrong en un tema grabado junto a otro gigante, Duke Ellington.
