Una buena muestra de ello es la grabaci\u00f3n del concierto que dio en Par\u00eds el 24 de abril de 1962 en el teatro Olympia en compa\u00f1\u00eda de <strong>Trummy Young<\/strong> (tromb\u00f3n), <strong>Joe Darensbourg<\/strong> (clarinete), <strong>Billy Kyle<\/strong> (piano), <strong>Bill Cronk<\/strong> (contrabajo) y <strong>Danny Barcelona<\/strong> (bater\u00eda), m\u00e1s la cantante <strong>Jewel Brown<\/strong> en \u00abSt. Louis Blues\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El cambio que se hab\u00eda producido en el jazz desde que Satchmo comenz\u00f3 su carrera hasta esos momentos (inicio de la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os sesenta, la \u00e9poca del <em>free<\/em> que ya comenzaba a dar sus primeros -y no tanto- pasos), hac\u00eda que algunos m\u00fasicos y aficionados no reconociesen en qu\u00e9 se hab\u00eda convertido eso que ahora denominamos jazz. A lo largo de\u00a0ese camino de m\u00e1s de treinta a\u00f1os hab\u00edan ido sucedi\u00e9ndose, entre otros, estilos que revolucionaron y pusieron patas arriba todo lo anterior, vueltas a la tradici\u00f3n, miradas hacia la m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica o un\u00a0estilo\u00a0que hab\u00eda conseguido que el jazz fuese la m\u00fasica\u00a0m\u00e1s popular.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sin embargo Louis Armstrong gozaba de una popularidad entre los aficionados que era \u00fanica comparada con la que ten\u00edan el resto de m\u00fasicos de jazz contempor\u00e1neos. El concierto de Paris mantiene el repertorio de los directos de a\u00f1os anteriores con temas tradicionales de\u00a0la \u00e9poca dorada del jazz como\u00a0\u00abSt. Louis Blues\u00bb, \u00abTiger Rag\u00bb, \u00abOle Miss Rag\u00bb, \u00abHigh Society\u00bb, \u00abStruttin&#8217; With Some Barbecue\u00bb, \u00abNobody Knows The Trouble I&#8217;ve Been\u00bb, \u00abIndiana\u00bb, \u00abAfter You&#8217;ve Gone\u00bb, y alg\u00fan tema m\u00e1s contempor\u00e1neo como \u00abNow You Has Jazz\u00bb.
