Pas\u00f3 sus primeros a\u00f1os junto a <strong>McCoy Tyner<\/strong> y <strong>Airto Moreira<\/strong>\u00a0y fue miembro clave de las \u00faltimas grandes formaciones de los <em><strong>Jazz Messengers<\/strong><\/em> de\u00a0<strong>Art Blakey<\/strong>, pero su carrera como l\u00edder nunca termin\u00f3 de despegar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Su primer \u00e1lbum, y tal vez el mejor que public\u00f3, data de 1991, y sali\u00f3 al abrigo de <strong>Creed Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>y su\u00a0resucitado <em>CTI Records<\/em>. En el disco se alterna el <em>hard-bop<\/em> con\u00a0temas de cierto latinismo amable, resaltados por la presencia de <strong>Mino Cinelu<\/strong>, <strong>Jerry Gonzalez<\/strong> y\u00a0<strong>Steve Berrios<\/strong>. Todo bastante irregular, pero tambi\u00e9n\u00a0con grandes momentos, gracias a <strong>Jeff Watts<\/strong>, <strong>Roy Hargrove<\/strong>, <strong>Joe Ford<\/strong> y <strong>Kenny Kirkland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entre los invitados de lujo destacan los dos\u00a0hermanos<strong> Marsalis<\/strong> m\u00e1s famosos, que se lucen a placer, como es natural. Es precisamente en el tema que hoy recomendamos, \u00abBroski\u00bb, donde ambos dan el empuj\u00f3n definitivo a un sexteto excepcional: <strong>Wynton<\/strong>, <strong>Branford<\/strong>, <strong>Ford<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kirkland<\/strong>, <strong>Fambrough<\/strong> y <strong>Watts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El tema va a un tempo endiablado y todos tocan, como dir\u00eda Miles Davis, \u00abperdiendo el culo\u00bb. Si bien el disco est\u00e1 lejos de ser redondo, \u00abBroski\u00bb es una pieza extraordinaria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Fambrough<\/strong> public\u00f3\u00a0un par de\u00a0discos m\u00e1s con <em>CTI<\/em> y despu\u00e9s algunos otros con diferentes sellos y poca exposici\u00f3n.
