Blue Note (1965)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El paso de <strong>Don Cherry<\/strong> por <strong>Blue Note<\/strong> se resume en tres obras:<em> Complete Communion<\/em> de 1965, junto a <em>Symphony For Improvisers<\/em> y <em>Where Is Brooklyn?<\/em> de 1966. En estas obras, que se encuentran entre las primeras editadas a su nombre, <strong>Don Cherry<\/strong> da su visi\u00f3n particular del <em>free<\/em>, un estilo que todav\u00eda estaba en un estado relativamente incipiente. Hab\u00edan pasado ya unos pocos a\u00f1os desde que <strong>Ornette<\/strong> le diese nombre con el disco hom\u00f3nimo, y para <strong>Don<\/strong> <strong>Cherry<\/strong> era un estilo sin demasiadas restricciones ni modelos a imitar, o quiz\u00e1s m\u00e1s bien la forma en la que incluir esas referencias ajenas al jazz tan presentes a lo largo de toda su obra en grupos como <strong>CODONA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El resultado de esta falta de prejuicios es un pu\u00f1ado de composiciones repletas de unas fant\u00e1sticas melod\u00edas, que tomaban la forma de largas <em>suites<\/em>, algo que de alguna manera estaba en auge en la \u00e9poca, puesto que s\u00f3lo hay que pensar en grabaciones como el ya mencionado <em>Free Jazz<\/em> o el m\u00edtico <em>Ascension<\/em> de <strong>John Coltrane<\/strong>. De ese modo, <em>Complete Communion<\/em> y <em>Symphony For Improvisers<\/em> conten\u00edan cuatro <em>suites<\/em> en total, entre las que estaban las magn\u00edficas \u00abElephantasy\u00bb, \u00abComplete Communion\u00bb y \u00abSymphony For Improvisers\u00bb. En cuanto a <em>Where Is Brooklyn?<\/em>, inclu\u00eda piezas m\u00e1s cortas, pero igualmente atractivas, entre las que estaban esa joya que es el tema \u00abThe Thing\u00bb.
