En ese periodo\u00a0graba \u00abHello Dolly\u00bb, su tema m\u00e1s vendido, con el que super\u00f3 en las listas de \u00e9xito a los mism\u00edsimos Beatles. Con esa grabaci\u00f3n obtuvo a su vez un premio Grammy como mejor cantante masculino y fue nominado a disco del a\u00f1o.\u00a0Satchmo, que en 1959 ya sufri\u00f3 un ataque al coraz\u00f3n,\u00a0dio un concierto el 5 de julio.
