El pianista Sonny Clark ejerci\u00f3 de l\u00edder, aportando dos de los temas de la producci\u00f3n original (uno m\u00e1s apareci\u00f3 como <em>bonus track<\/em> en subsiguientes ediciones), pero dej\u00f3 hacer a sus compa\u00f1eros de viaje. Sabia decisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Art Farmer a la trompeta y Jackie McLean al saxo alto ejercieron de solistas m\u00e1s que satisfactoriamente, pero la clave del \u00e9xito correspondi\u00f3 a una excelente secci\u00f3n r\u00edtmica, la del primer gran quinteto de Miles Davis: Paul Chambers al contrabajo y Philly Joe Jones a la bater\u00eda. El primero nos regala uno de sus solos con arco en el <em>blues<\/em> inicial que da t\u00edtulo al disco; el segundo dirige al quinteto desde su plato de <em>ride<\/em> incansable mientras recalca las evoluciones de sus compa\u00f1eros con inteligentes adornos en la caja.
