La fiesta de las giras y conciertos de los espect\u00e1culos Jazz At The Philharmonic promovidos por el empresario Norman Granz que tuvieron lugar entre mediados de los a\u00f1os 40 y el inicio de la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os 80 del pasado siglo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el caso del concierto in\u00e9dito -hasta 2011- grabado en oto\u00f1o de 1956 en Seattle, las cintas a partir de las que se ha publicado provienen de la colecci\u00f3n de grabaciones de Ken Ackerman, las conocidas como Ackerman Tapes. Con un sonido m\u00e1s que aceptable y una duraci\u00f3n que se alarga hasta las dos horas y media, muestra a distintos grupos y combinaciones de m\u00fasicos en un espect\u00e1culo preparado para satisfacer a los aficionados al jazz. El tr\u00edo de Oscar Peterson (Peterson, Herb Ellis y Ray Brown) como tal, acompa\u00f1ado por Ella Fitzgerald o ejerciendo de base del Swing Set (al que se a\u00f1ad\u00edan Roy Eldridge, Flip Phillips, Illinois Jacquet y Jo Jones), aparece en la mitad de los temas. Los dos grupos restantes fueron el Modern Jazz Quartet (a quien se a\u00f1adieron en media docena de temas Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz y Sonny Stitt) y el Gene Krupa Quartet (con Krupa, John Drew, Dave McKenna y Eddie Shu).
