Esta grabaci\u00f3n de <strong>Erroll Garner<\/strong>\u00a0es\u00a0uno de los discos de jazz con mayores ventas a lo largo de la historia, en torno a un mill\u00f3n de copias entre 1956 -fecha de publicaci\u00f3n-, y 1958. Inicialmente no estaba planificado grabar el concierto, que finalmente fue registrado por iniciativa de la manager de Garner, <strong>Martha Glaser<\/strong>. Garner al piano, <strong>Eddie Calhoun<\/strong> al contrabajo y\u00a0<strong>Denzil Best\u00a0<\/strong>a la bater\u00eda dejan buena muestra del buen hacer del tr\u00edo. Los once temas in\u00e9ditos incluidos en la edici\u00f3n del concierto al completo muestran el virtuosismo de Garner, con una magn\u00edfica independencia de manos. El p\u00fablico aparece encantado\u00a0con el tr\u00edo a lo largo de todo el concierto -que aunque incluy\u00f3 algunos temas de Garner, estuvo\u00a0compuesto mayoritariamente por\u00a0<em>standards<\/em> bien conocidos-. A lo largo del concierto se escucha a los asistentes aplaudir con entusiasmo en cuanto asomaban\u00a0las notas que permit\u00edan adivinar el <em>standard<\/em> que el tr\u00edo pasar\u00eda a interpretar.
