El show\u00a0-producido por <strong>Norman<\/strong> <strong>Granz<\/strong> y grabado en v\u00eddeo pero posiblemente sin la intenci\u00f3n de editarlo comercialmente al menos en un primer momento- est\u00e1 organizado para el lucimiento de Ella Fitzgerald, que en 1979 estaba en plenitud de facultades. La cantante se mueve como pez en el agua en un repertorio de cl\u00e1sicos -en algunos de los cuales\u00a0va intercalando citas de distintos temas, aunque en este campo la palma se lo lleva su revisi\u00f3n de \u00abFlying Home\u00bb-, como su archifamoso \u00abA Tisket A Tasket\u00bb, \u00abSweet Georgia Brown\u00bb, \u00abRound Midnight\u00bb, \u00abHoneysuckle Rose\u00bb, \u00abFine &amp; Mellow\u00bb, \u00abYou&#8217;ve Changed\u00bb, \u00abSome Other Spring\u00bb, \u00abAfter You&#8217;ve Gone\u00bb. All\u00ed hay momentos tanto para disfrutar con su maestr\u00eda al <em>scat<\/em>, como de su sensibilidad a la hora de afrontar las baladas. Para ello ayuda el distinto formato que toma su acompa\u00f1amiento. As\u00ed, mientras en una parte del concierto -la inicial y la final- los encargados de apoyarla son los integrantes de la <strong>Count Basie Orchestra<\/strong>, en la parte intermedia su tr\u00edo (<strong>Paul<\/strong> <strong>Smith<\/strong> -piano-, <strong>Keter<\/strong> <strong>Betts<\/strong> -contrabajo-, y\u00a0<strong>Mickey<\/strong> <strong>Roker<\/strong> -bater\u00eda) es el que tiene la labor de dar forma a los temas m\u00e1s lentos. Un momento muy especial, en un bis que tiene lugar tras que la cantante salga a saludar en repetidas ocasiones, es cuando el propio\u00a0<strong>Count Basie<\/strong> acompa\u00f1a a la cantante al piano en el tema \u00abB&amp;E (Basella)\u00bb que no es otro que una recreaci\u00f3n del conocid\u00edsimo \u00abC-jam Blues\u00bb.
