Si bien tanto las obras con <b>Eade <\/b>como con <b>Correa <\/b>eran m\u00e1s que notables, es con esta \u00faltima con la que mejor sinton\u00eda se apreciaba. Por tanto, no es extra\u00f1a la publicaci\u00f3n de <i>Down Here Below<\/i>. Un disco en el que no se repasan, al estilo de lo que suced\u00eda en las anteriores grabaciones, distintos <i>standards <\/i>junto con algunas composiciones originales. En este caso el CD, que anuncia que habr\u00e1 una continuaci\u00f3n, est\u00e1 dedicado por completo al universo de la enorme <b>Abbey Lincoln<\/b>. A los dos m\u00fasicos les sobra imaginaci\u00f3n para afrontar semejante reto. La muestra m\u00e1s palpable de ello son \u201cDown Here Below\u201d, \u201cFreedom Day\u201d y \u201cChristmas Cheer\u201d. Estos tres temas aparecen por duplicado. Sin embargo no lo hacen como a\u00f1adidos extra o como versiones alternativas, sino como una parte sustancial del disco, ya que <b>Ran Blake<\/b> y <b>Christine Correa<\/b> realizan unas recreaciones muy diferentes entre s\u00ed. <b>Blake <\/b>vuelve a mostrar su peculiar forma de entender el universo que pueden llegar a esconder las ochenta y ocho teclas del piano. A este veterano maestro se le escucha disfrutar sobre el teclado, dejarse llevar por la resonancia de su interior, sonar intenso, disonante, y tambi\u00e9n recrearse en los espacios y en la lentitud. A lo largo de todo el disco acompa\u00f1a a la voz de <b>Christine Correa<\/b> y discurre independiente de ella; deja que su compa\u00f1era sea la protagonista (\u201cAfrican Lady\u201d aparece interpretado a capela) y tambi\u00e9n tiene espacio para tocar en solitario.
