Aunque que los tiempos que corren no son precisamente f\u00e1ciles y menos para la cultura y la m\u00fasica. Si de nuestro pa\u00eds se trata la cosa se recrudece hasta l\u00edmites preocupantes. Hablar de jazz parece toda una herej\u00eda. Denostado por las instituciones, olvidado por los medios de informaci\u00f3n profesionales y sustentado por un peque\u00f1o basti\u00f3n de aficionados que alimenta la llama viva, el jazz cuenta con una salud envidiable y con un buen n\u00famero de m\u00fasicos de alto nivel. Entre estos encontramos a Gonzalo Del Val un baterista moderno que gobierna con mano firme y libre su tr\u00edo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Su disco <em>Three Generations<\/em> vuela alto y en otro lugar y otro tiempo gozar\u00eda de un reconocimiento mayor al que pueda alcanzar en la actualidad. Tres m\u00fasicos se bastan para mostrar individual y colectivamente la t\u00e9cnica que atesoran. Parten de la tradici\u00f3n <em>bop<\/em> pero no se quedan ah\u00ed sino que van mucho m\u00e1s all\u00e1. <em>Three Generations<\/em> se abre con la muy acertada versi\u00f3n de Pat Metheny, \u00abQuestion And Answer\u00bb y tiene continuidad con la intensa \u00abWill You Still Be Mine?\u00bb. En \u00abPlaneta Miralta\u00bb se intuye un peque\u00f1o homenaje de reconocimiento al tambi\u00e9n baterista Marc Miralta. Composici\u00f3n con\u00a0reminiscencias a Miles Davis en el comienzo con destacado solo de Gonzalo Del Val. Es en \u00abAlone In Brooklyn\u00bb donde demuestran ese potencial de sensibilidad, poes\u00eda intimista y belleza. Muy del gusto de Manfred Eicher. En la pieza popular \u00abLos Cuatro Muleros\u00bb, Gonzalo Del Val y David Mengual trotan al son de su bater\u00eda y su bajo respectivamente y que Marco Mezquida hace reconocible con su piano. \u00abEl Siete De Ameyugo\u00bb y \u00abEsp\u00editu F.H.\u00bb rezuman modernidad a raudales con un destacado solo de David Mengual en el primero de ellos. Celeste Al\u00edas pone la voz en \u00abMalena\u00bb, tan po\u00e9tico como bohemio.
