El quinteto<b> Jazz Punks<\/b> queda con <i>Smashups <\/i>en un terreno intermedio. El repertorio de este CD est\u00e1 confeccionado en su mayor\u00eda (la excepci\u00f3n son dos temas propios) seleccionando grandes temas de ambas m\u00fasicas y creando a partir de ellos unas composiciones ad-hoc con unas melod\u00edas absolutamente reconocibles, desarrolladas con unos solos de una gran efectividad. De esa manera los seguidores de <b>Led Zeppelin<\/b> encontrar\u00e1n \u00abMisty Mountain Hop\u00bb fusionado con el cl\u00e1sico del <i>be-bop<\/i> \u00abA Night In Tunisia\u00bb en \u00abLed Gillespie\u00bb; el eterno \u00abFootprints\u00bb de <b>Wayne<\/b> <b>Shorter <\/b>con \u00abI Want You\u00bb y \u00abShe&#8217;s So Heavy\u00bb de <b>The Beatles<\/b> en \u00abHeavyfoot\u00bb; \u00abShould I Stay&#8230;\u00bb de <b>The Clash<\/b> con \u00abTake Five\u00bb de<b> Paul Desmond <\/b>y popularizada por el <b>Dave Brubeck Quartet<\/b> en \u00abClash-Up\u00bb; el <i>ellingtoniano <\/i>\u00abTake the &#8216;A&#8217; Train\u00bb con temas de <b>Radiohead <\/b>en \u00abCreep Train\u00bb; \u201cI Can See For Miles\u201d de<b> The Who<\/b> con \u201cNo Blues\u201d de <b>Miles Davis<\/b>. Unos temas que como se puede observar no est\u00e1n restringidos a una \u00e9poca o estilo particular de ninguna de ambas m\u00fasicas.
