Su carrera, que se extiende durante cuatro d\u00e9cadas,\u00a0contin\u00faa desarroll\u00e1ndose, incansable. A\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o su discograf\u00eda (que supera las 150 referencias), va aumentando gracias a la incorporaci\u00f3n de nuevas grabaciones. 2016 no es una excepci\u00f3n. La puesta en circulaci\u00f3n de nuevo del CD a contrabajo solo\u00a0<em>No Comment<\/em> (Fou Records), la nueva entrega del <strong>MMM Quartet<\/strong> titulada <em>Oakland \/ Lisboa<\/em> (Rogue Art), y\u00a0<em>Can You Hear Me?\u00a0<\/em>(Ayler Records) al frente de un tenteto de m\u00fasicos pertenecientes a una generaci\u00f3n anterior a la de L\u00e9andre son tres\u00a0formas magn\u00edficas de adentrarse en distintas facetas del universo creativo de esta artista del sonido.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-24164\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Joelle-Leandre_No-Comment_FOU-Records_2016.jpg\" alt=\"Digisleeve\" width=\"200\" height=\"181\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Joelle-Leandre_No-Comment_FOU-Records_2016.jpg 394w, https:\/\/tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Joelle-Leandre_No-Comment_FOU-Records_2016-150x136.jpg 150w, https:\/\/tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Joelle-Leandre_No-Comment_FOU-Records_2016-200x181.jpg 200w, https:\/\/tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Joelle-Leandre_No-Comment_FOU-Records_2016-61x55.jpg 61w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>No Comment <\/em>(que recoge sendos conciertos en Canada e Italia en 1994 y 1995), ya se hab\u00eda publicado con anterioridad en el sello canadiense Red Toucan. Con distinta portada, pero con el mismo contenido sonoro, ha sido reeditado por el sello franc\u00e9s Fou Records.\u00a0<strong>L\u00e9andre\u00a0<\/strong>a contrabajo solo es habitualmente un cicl\u00f3n de creatividad: en\u00a0<em>No Comment\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0no lo es menos. Sus manos logran que el contrabajo sea una prolongaci\u00f3n casi org\u00e1nica de la artista. Esta exprime este instrumento extrayendo sonidos y construyendo un discurso de un modo que est\u00e1 al alcance de muy pocos. Cada una de las partes con las que construye sus soliloquios son distintas de las\u00a0anteriores y de las siguientes, pero todas ellas est\u00e1n fuertemente unidas por el hilo de una personalidad creativa como hay pocas. Grabado en directo en la edici\u00f3n de 2014 del festival lisboeta Jazz Em Agosto, es una muestra magn\u00edfica de lo que estos cuatro m\u00fasicos pueden crear\u00a0en directo.\u00a0El grupo articula\u00a0una historia en la que se suceden pasajes de distinta intensidad; en la que los m\u00fasicos tienen tanto espacios propios como compartidos en los que priman -no pod\u00eda ser de otro modo-, la interacci\u00f3n. Esencial para que el cuarteto articule su discurso es la variedad de sonidos\u00a0que permiten el empleo del piano, teclados y <em>sampler<\/em> por parte de Alvin Curran; los saxos tenor y soprano de Leimgruber; la guitarra el\u00e9ctrica de Frith; el empleo del arco, los dedos al pizzicato y los cantos caracter\u00edsticos habituales en el discurso de L\u00e9andre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-24163\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Joelle-Leandre-10_Can-You-Hear-Me_Ayler-Records_2016-200x200.jpg\" alt=\"Joelle Leandre 10_Can You Hear Me_Ayler Records_2016\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" title=\"\">Can You Hear Me?<\/em> (cuyo t\u00edtulo es toda una declaraci\u00f3n de principios), es una composici\u00f3n que sirve para que el\u00a0tenteto de m\u00fasicos (mayoritariamente j\u00f3venes, entendiendo por ello su pertenencia a una generaci\u00f3n posterior a la de la contrabajista) <strong>Jo\u00eblle L\u00e9andre 10<\/strong>, trabaje en una obra escrita por\u00a0L\u00e9andre\u00a0en la que hay espacio para que se vayan aglutinando las distintas m\u00fasicas que han servido a esta artista para construir su carrera, tanto la m\u00fasica cl\u00e1sica en la que estuvo involucrada en los inicios de su carrera, como la improvisada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las tres grabaciones est\u00e1n muy bien, pero&#8230; ahora s\u00f3lo falta que alguien se anime a traerla en directo a Espa\u00f1a.
