Por ejemplo, el legado de m\u00fasicos que han marcado su devenir y ejercido una fuerte influencia en los m\u00fasicos que los siguieron. <b>Thelonious Monk<\/b> es un m\u00fasico habitual en el repertorio de sus proyectos y conciertos basados en <i>standards<\/i>. Del mismo modo que hizo en su momento con la m\u00fasica de <b>Charlie Parker<\/b> o <b>Andrew Hill<\/b>, en 1987 grab\u00f3 <i>Six Monk\u2019s Compositions (1987) <\/i>en cuarteto con <b>Mal Waldron<\/b> (piano), <b>Buell Neidlinger<\/b> (contrabajo) y <b>Bill Osborne<\/b> (bater\u00eda). Otro elemento central en el jazz es la improvisaci\u00f3n. En la discograf\u00eda del bater\u00eda <b>Max Roach<\/b> hay varias grabaciones en d\u00fao con distintos m\u00fasicos. En 1978 grab\u00f3 <i>Birth and Rebirth<\/i> con Anthony Braxton. En apenas cuarenta minutos ambos m\u00fasicos imaginaron siete improvisaciones de primer nivel. Un a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde ambos grabar\u00edan de nuevo, en esa ocasi\u00f3n en concierto, el magn\u00edfico <i>One In Two &#8211; Two In One<\/i> (hatOlogy).<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otro aspecto fundamental en la carrera de <b>Braxton <\/b>son sus composiciones, que le sirven para plantear diferentes plataformas musicales a partir de las que compone, interpreta e improvisa. El cuarteto es uno de sus formatos por antonomasia. Aunque aqu\u00ed no est\u00e1 esa enorme m\u00e1quina de hacer jazz que fue el cuarteto que form\u00f3 con <b>Marilyn Crispell<\/b>, <b>Mark Dresser<\/b> y <strong>Gerry Hemingway<\/strong> desde finales de los ochenta hasta mediados los a\u00f1os noventa, los cuatro m\u00fasicos aparecen junto con otros como <b>John Lindberg<\/b>, <b>David Rosenboom<\/b> y <b>George Lewis<\/b> en <i>Four Compositions (Quartet) 1984<\/i>, <i>Six Compostions (Quartet) 1985 <\/i>y <i>Five Compositions (Quartet) 1986<\/i>. All\u00ed aparecen distintas caras de <b>Braxton <\/b>como compositor. No hay m\u00e1s que fijarse en la variedad que presentan las composiciones \u201c69 M\u201d, \u201c110D\u201d, \u201c116\u201d, \u201c115\u201d, \u201c114 (+108A)\u201d o \u201c110 A (+108)\u201d.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Otra de las formaciones en las que es imprescindible escuchar el trabajo de Braxton es en gran formato. En la caja se incluyen <i>Eugene (1989)<\/i> con <b>The Northwest Creative Orchestra<\/b>, <i>4 (Ensemble) Compositions 1992<\/i> y <i>Composition No 173<\/i> para 4 actores, 14 instrumentistas, escenario y proyecciones de v\u00eddeo. Las dos \u00faltimAs grabaciones son unas obras centradas en sus composiciones en ese momento.
