Por un lado est\u00e1 la del educador que desarroll\u00f3 su carrera durante casi cuarenta a\u00f1os en el New England Conservatory of Jazz, desde mediados de la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os 60 hasta el a\u00f1o 2005.<\/div>\n<p><a name=\"more\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_huJnG8dEQz8\/TPetvQtHvmI\/AAAAAAAACOs\/D923pOhCMlU\/s1600\/blake_serpa-camera.gif\" imageanchor=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_huJnG8dEQz8\/TPetvQtHvmI\/AAAAAAAACOs\/D923pOhCMlU\/s1600\/blake_serpa-camera.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div>La otra faceta tiene que ver con la de un pianista que desde el principio de su carrera ha demostrado su incre\u00edble capacidad de transformar la forma de interpretar temas ajenos, especialmente los standards. Como m\u00fasico sigue en activo sobre los escenarios. En diciembre de 2010 est\u00e1 de gira por Espa\u00f1a en compa\u00f1\u00eda del guitarrista Dave Fabris para dar sendos conciertos en Santander (1 de diciembre, con las entradas agotadas desde varios d\u00edas antes) y Sig\u00fcenza (4 de diciembre). Como resultado de esta gira europea, de la que Espa\u00f1a es el primer paso, se publicar\u00e1n dos discos que se grabar\u00e1n en directo en Lituania (a d\u00fao) y Roma (en solitario).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>En 2010 se han publicado dos d\u00faos grabados en 2009 de Blake con las cantantes Christine Correa y Sara Serpa. En <i>Camera Obscura<\/i>, su d\u00fao con la joven cantante portuguesa Sara Serpa, Blake no s\u00f3lo se erige en el protagonista principal de la grabaci\u00f3n, sino que es quien logra que el CD no fracase estrepitosamente. <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_huJnG8dEQz8\/TPetvJ3WSFI\/AAAAAAAACOo\/QwIxXPEdQ3k\/s1600\/blake_correa-out.gif\" imageanchor=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_huJnG8dEQz8\/TPetvJ3WSFI\/AAAAAAAACOo\/QwIxXPEdQ3k\/s1600\/blake_correa-out.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<div>Muy diferente es su colaboraci\u00f3n con Christine Correa quince a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de su anterior grabaci\u00f3n (<i>Round About<\/i>). La cantante sabe entrelazarse en esa forma \u00fanica en que el pianista es capaz de transformar cualquier tema. De ese modo aunque Blake toque a la vez que Correa canta, no se pueda decir que su labor sea la de ejercer de simple acompa\u00f1ante.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Este trato de igual a igual entre ambos m\u00fasicos se pone de manifiesto en el CD de un modo expl\u00edcito. \u201cGoodbye\u201d, \u201cThis Will All Seem Funny\u201d y la segunda parte de \u201cSocial Call\u201d son interpretadas por el pianista en solitario. Lo mismo sucede en la versi\u00f3n de \u201cOut of the Shadows\u201d que cierra el disco, el inicio de \u201cSocial Call\u201d y \u201cUna Matica de Ruda\u201d pero en este caso por parte de la cantante. <i>Out Of The Shadows<\/i> es una joya de principio a fin.
