Un proyecto creado hace unos cuantos a\u00f1os y en constante ebullici\u00f3n creativa, que avanza como un torbellino y cuya m\u00fasica va directa al cerebro m\u00e1s que al coraz\u00f3n. El \u00faltimo trabajo del grupo, <em>Roulette Of the Cradle<\/em>, supone todo un manifiesto de por d\u00f3nde transitan las propuestas m\u00e1s modernas y exploratorias del jazz a estas alturas del siglo XXI.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-27521 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Ingrid-Laubrock-tenor-443x600.jpg\" alt=\"ingrid-laubrock-tenor\" width=\"443\" height=\"600\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Originalmente incorporando tambi\u00e9n al contrabajista <strong>John Hebert<\/strong>, las tres componentes del grupo, Laubrock, Davis, Halvorson, m\u00e1s el bater\u00eda <strong>Tom Rainey<\/strong> constituyen una mezcla explosiva de creatividades interpretando las composiciones de Laubrock.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-27522 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Mary-Halvorson-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"mary-halvorson\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un concierto lleno de matices que se van superponiendo como en un caleidoscopio. Su desarrollo y evoluci\u00f3n pasa por las diferentes atonalidades e irregularidades dirigidas por Ingrid Laubrock al saxo soprano o al tenor, con fraseos improvisados a trav\u00e9s de muchas texturas que nos introducen en abismos de notas complejas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-27523 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Kris-Davis-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"kris-davis\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Kris Davis<\/strong> al piano remarca los espacios con su habitual estilo percusivo y <strong>Mary Halvorson<\/strong> incorpora y realiza efectos con el pedal. El soprano est\u00e1 siempre muy fino y la guitarra se encarga de los matices y los detalles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mary Halvorson es una guitarrista at\u00edpica empe\u00f1ada en extraer los sonidos m\u00e1s originales, provocando para ello distorsiones y resonancias con la ayuda de <em>samplers<\/em>. El bater\u00eda, Tom Rainey, es de los que empujan con mucha claridad y en todo momento sostiene y equilibra al cuarteto.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-27524 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Tom-Rainey-600x407.jpg\" alt=\"tom-rainey\" width=\"600\" height=\"407\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los tremendos solos de Laubrock y los de la pianista crean tambi\u00e9n atm\u00f3sferas sonoras muy sugerentes. Da la sensaci\u00f3n de que el cuarteto se dedica a realizar propuestas de sonidos y bocetos ac\u00fasticos, que van componiendo un collage integral. Es un tipo de jazz que se apoya mucho en los sonidos improvisados, pero efectivos y acordes con una l\u00f3gica musical impactante Ingrid Laubrock es una saxofonista asombrosa que, adem\u00e1s de hacer un emocionante jazz de vanguardia, lo transmite con intensidad e inteligencia.
