Implica la presentaci\u00f3n en sociedad del conjunto musical. La impresi\u00f3n ha de ser lo m\u00e1s positiva. De igual modo, su lanzamiento suele estar envuelto en la ambiciosa ilusi\u00f3n del principiante. No obstante, no s\u00f3lo los ne\u00f3fitos han de cumplir estas premisas. Puede tratarse de un m\u00fasico experimentado. Puede tratarse de un <strong>nuevo comienzo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Light Shines In <\/em>es el t\u00edtulo del debut del saxofonista <strong>Adam Schneit<\/strong>. Todo un conocido de la escena neoyorquina. Colabor\u00f3 con m\u00fasicos de la talla de Jesse Peterson o Jacob Sacks, entre otros. Asimismo, lider\u00f3 el grupo Old Time Musketry en una gran aventura de fusi\u00f3n de estilos. Junto a \u00e9l, figuran en el disco <strong>Sean Moran<\/strong> a la guitarra, <strong>Eivind Opsvik<\/strong> al contrabajo y <strong>Kenny Wollesen<\/strong> a la bater\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Comienza este <em>Light Shines In<\/em> con el tema \u201cA Clearer View\u201d. Tras un estupendo <em>riff<\/em> en sol, se suceden nueve minutos jazz\u00edsticos perfectamente ejecutados. Destaca con creces el encaje de <strong>saxof\u00f3n y guitarra<\/strong>. \u201cDifferent Times\u201d contin\u00faa el disco con un sensacional ritmo <em>post-bop<\/em>. De tempo m\u00e1s acelerado que la antecesora, la tensi\u00f3n imperante es realmente atractiva. \u201cOld Time Musketry\u201d, a modo de homenaje al ya citado grupo, cuenta con un buen <em>groove<\/em> <em>funky<\/em>. La calidad del d\u00fao r\u00edtmico de <strong>Opsvik<\/strong> y <strong>Wollesen<\/strong> es m\u00e1s que notable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La cuarta composici\u00f3n del disco, de t\u00edtulo \u201cHope For Something More\u201d es una de las sorpresas del disco. De corte melanc\u00f3lica, cede protagonismo al clarinete en detrimento del saxof\u00f3n. Un tema que recuerda por momentos al <strong>Eric Dolphy<\/strong> m\u00e1s meloso. Las l\u00edneas en do a la guitarra de <strong>Moran<\/strong>, una vez m\u00e1s, rozan la matr\u00edcula de honor. \u201cLight Shines In\u201d sigue en la misma l\u00ednea. No por ser la canci\u00f3n m\u00e1s corta, con cuatro minutos escasos, pierde influencia en el c\u00f3mputo del \u00e1lbum. Mejor a\u00fan, da lugar a un admirable solo de contrabajo por parte de <strong>Opsvik<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMy Secret Hobby\u201d es la segunda sorpresa de este <em>Light Shines In<\/em>. Dif\u00edcilmente se puede discernir si es el mejor tema o no. No obstante, la garra m\u00e1s<em> free jazz<\/em> queda m\u00e1s que patente. Un caballo desbocado a ritmo de <strong>distorsi\u00f3n y saxofonazos<\/strong> propios del <strong>Ornette Coleman<\/strong> m\u00e1s salvaje. El contraste es ciertamente singular. Y en \u00e9l reside la <strong>calidad<\/strong> de este disco.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finaliza <em>Light Shines In<\/em> con \u201cSong For Silence\u201d. Un corte de ocho minutos con una improvisaci\u00f3n en tono modal jazz. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-kDhGe-f0ik\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Recuerda a composiciones de <strong>Jim Hall<\/strong> como \u201cDeep in a Dream\u201d<\/a>. Un cierre excepcional para este debut de la <strong>Adam Schneit Band<\/strong> cargado de ambici\u00f3n y grandes composiciones.
