Est\u00e1 claro que si un m\u00fasico publica como cuarta grabaci\u00f3n a su nombre un disco de la madurez de\u00a0<i>Even The Sound Shines<\/i> (Myra Melford Extended Ensemble, hatOlogy, 1995 \/ Reed. 2003), con unos acompa\u00f1antes de lujo (Dave Douglas, Marty Ehrlich, Myra Melford, Lindsey Horner y Reggie Nicholson) especialmente inspirados, pr\u00e1cticamente cualquier grabaci\u00f3n posterior, aunque hayan pasado casi veinte a\u00f1os, ser\u00e1 una v\u00edctima inocente de las comparaciones. Ese es el caso de la pianista Myra Melford, particularizando la comparaci\u00f3n en su nueva grabaci\u00f3n\u00a0<i>The Whole Tree Gone<\/i>, la segunda de su formaci\u00f3n Be Bread. Es cierto que su inicio con \u00abThrough the Same Gate\u00bb, a pesar de la emotividad que desprende, puede despistar a quienes nos fascin\u00f3 con esa grabaci\u00f3n y con esa forma de tocar el piano que apuntaba hacia lo m\u00e1s interesante de la vanguardia jazz\u00edstica de por aqu\u00e9l entonces. Sin embargo este tema es s\u00f3lo un peque\u00f1o espejismo y el disco tiene momentos espl\u00e9ndidos. En concreto \u00abKnocking from the Inside\u00bb, el tema que cierra el disco, ejerce perfectamente la importante funci\u00f3n de dejar al oyente con ganas de m\u00e1s.\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>De cualquier manera, quiz\u00e1s todas estas valoraciones no son sino una cuesti\u00f3n de perspectiva, tal y como comentaba al principio.
