Dos m\u00fasicos polacos (el saxofonista Krzysztof Medyna, el pianista Andrzej Winnicki) dirigiendo el proyecto, junto a tres m\u00fasicos norteamericanos: el trompetista Russ Johnson y una r\u00edtmica integrada por dos m\u00fasicos de primer nivel. Scott Colley y Nasheet Waits no hab\u00edan participado en las formaciones anteriores de este proyecto y se enfrentaron en la grabaci\u00f3n por primera vez a este repertorio. La m\u00fasica, toda ella salvo dos temas obras de Winnicki, fue compuesta por Krzystof Komeda. Un pianista y compositor fallecido en 1969 cuyo mayor reconocimiento le lleg\u00f3 por componer la m\u00fasica de algunas pel\u00edculas de Roman Polanski (<i>La semilla del diablo<\/i> o <i>El baile de los vampiros<\/i> entre otras). Sin embargo, su carrera como m\u00fasico no consisti\u00f3 \u00fanicamente en su tarea de compositor, y en los a\u00f1os 60 dirigi\u00f3 un grupo en el que participaron el trompetista Tomasz Stanko (que en 1997 grab\u00f3 en ECM <i>Litania<\/i>, compuesto exclusivamente por composiciones de Komeda), y el saxofonista y violinista Michel Urbaniak.\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<br \/>En esta ocasi\u00f3n \u00fanicamente \u00abBallad for Bernt\u00bb (de <i>Knife in the Water<\/i>, <i>El cuchillo en el agua<\/i> en espa\u00f1ol) proviene de las composiciones de Komeda para pel\u00edculas. Entre el resto aparecen el tema en tres partes \u00abNight-time, Daytime Requiem\u00bb (magn\u00edficamente arreglado y que compuso tras conocer el fallecimiento de John Coltrane), dos de sus piezas m\u00e1s conocidas (la sobresaliente \u00abLitania\u00bb y \u00abAstigmatic\u00bb), y \u00abPrayer and Question\u00bb que contiene los momentos m\u00e1s intensos del CD.
