Ambas grabaciones fueron realizadas con su grupo Zooid, que es el grupo con el que publica <i>This Bring Us To. Volume I, <\/i>nuevamente en Pi Recordings. En esta ocasi\u00f3n, tal y como ocurre en la mayor parte de sus obras, la parte escrita (unas melod\u00edas intrincadas junto a unos arreglos que las expanden en varios planos y l\u00edneas mel\u00f3dicas) se convierte en un elemento fundamental en la m\u00fasica de Threadgill. El trabajo de los seis m\u00fasicos, que est\u00e1n especialmente brillantes e inspirados a lo largo de toda la grabaci\u00f3n, resaltan su magn\u00edfico trabajo como compositor. En esta ocasi\u00f3n los cuatro temas que ocupan la parte central de la grabaci\u00f3n (\u00abTo undertake my corners open\u00bb, \u00abChairmaster\u00bb, \u00abAfter some time\u00bb, \u00abSap\u00bb) se convierten en unas piezas directas y contagiosas. En contraposici\u00f3n, el CD se abre con \u00abWhite Wednesday off the wall\u00bb: un tema lleno de espacios y cercano a esa concepci\u00f3n de la m\u00fasica de c\u00e1mara tan frecuente en la obra de Threadgill. El disco finaliza con \u00abMirror mirror the verb\u00bb, que comienza abstracto, para terminar mostrando una melod\u00eda que tiene la virtud de dejar con ganas de m\u00e1s m\u00fasica justo cuando el CD finaliza, sin llegar a haber transcurrido ni cuarenta minutos.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>El primer volumen de <i>This Bring Us To<\/i> no s\u00f3lo debiera convertirse en un aldabonazo m\u00e1s en la carrera de un artista que ya se ha ganado por derecho propio tener un nombre destacado en la historia del jazz, sino que tambi\u00e9n es una de las mejores grabaciones en todo lo que llevamos de 2009. Tanto es as\u00ed, que me imagino que no soy el \u00fanico que ya est\u00e1 deseando que se publique ese segundo volumen que promete el t\u00edtulo de esta primera entrega.
