Su pen\u00faltima entrega, <i>Spirit Moves<\/i>, le ha servido para presentar su nuevo proyecto. Brass Ecstasy es un cuarteto de metales (con trompeta, fiscorno, tromb\u00f3n y tuba), m\u00e1s bater\u00eda (Nasheet Waits), que toma su inspiraci\u00f3n en algunos de los grupos del fallecido Lester Bowie, como su fant\u00e1stica Brass Fantasy. Sin ser un mal disco de presentaci\u00f3n, no consigue mantener el magn\u00edfico nivel que logra en algunos de los temas. Sobre los m\u00fasicos poco hay que decir: los cinco est\u00e1n magn\u00edficos, aunque Douglas y Marcus Rojas est\u00e1n especialmente brillantes. En cuanto a los temas, hay unas buenas composiciones de Douglas, entre las que se incluyen homenajes a Lester \u00abBowie\u00bb, \u00abFats\u00bb Navarro (a quien quiz\u00e1s hubiese homenajeado mejor con el t\u00edtulo \u00abNavarro\u00bb en vez de con \u00abFats\u00bb), Enrico \u00abRava\u00bb; tambi\u00e9n hay una dedicatoria al \u00abOrujo\u00bb gallego, as\u00ed como una revisi\u00f3n de un viejo tema de Hank Williams padre: \u00abI&#8217;m So Lonesome I Could Cry\u00bb. \n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>Sin embargo el disco deja con la sensaci\u00f3n de que podr\u00eda haber sido mucho mejor. Tras escucharlo varias veces y darle vueltas a la causa de esa sensaci\u00f3n de frialdad que dejan algunos temas, posiblemente lo que se echa en falta en el CD es que los m\u00fasicos se debieron haber tomado la m\u00fasica con un puntito menos de seriedad, y que se tendr\u00edan que haber dejado llevar un puntito m\u00e1s por la m\u00fasica. Posiblemente todo esto no tenga que ver m\u00e1s que con que la grabaci\u00f3n suena demasiado a estudio, en vez de a un intento de mostrar parte del potencial del grupo en directo.
