Son frecuentes las grabaciones a su nombre o co-liderando diferentes proyectos en ECM y Winter &#038; Winter, as\u00ed como otras en las que aparece como colaborador o invitado especial de distintos grupos.\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_huJnG8dEQz8\/SehneqoAPeI\/AAAAAAAAASE\/l1dJp6-oBGk\/s1600-h\/paul+motian_vv200_2.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_huJnG8dEQz8\/SehneqoAPeI\/AAAAAAAAASE\/l1dJp6-oBGk\/s200\/paul+motian_vv200_2.png\" alt=\"\" border=\"1\" title=\"\"><\/a>Entre las grabaciones a su nombre destacan las que en 2007 y 2008 publicaba el sello alem\u00e1n Winter &#038; Winter a nombre del Paul Motian Trio + Two, y que fueron grabadas en diciembre de 2006 en el m\u00edtico Village Vanguard de Nueva York. Como sucede habitualmente en las grabaciones o conciertos de Motian, en estos dos discos apenas hay concesiones ni con los oyentes, ni con los m\u00fasicos que le acompa\u00f1an. El repertorio de estos dos CD est\u00e1 compuesto por nueve temas del propio Motian, m\u00e1s tres versiones (\u00abIf You Could See Me Now\u00bb de Tadd Dameron por partida doble con duraciones de doce y dos minutos, y la canci\u00f3n de la primera Guerra Mundial \u00abTill We Meet Again\u00bb). Las composiciones del bater\u00eda muestran una m\u00fasica angular y despojada de todo artificio, que plantea a sus compa\u00f1eros unos retos que pudieran recordar en cierta manera a los de la m\u00fasica de Thelonious Monk. Sin embargo sus acompa\u00f1antes superan con nota este desaf\u00edo. All\u00ed est\u00e1n un espl\u00e9ndido y rotundo Chris Potter al saxo tenor, un jarrettiano Masabumi Kikuchi al piano, un magn\u00edfico Larry Grenadier al contrabajo y Greg Osby al saxo alto, que en un par de temas es sustituido por Mat Manieri a la viola.
