Con m\u00e1s de 70 a\u00f1os este pianista contin\u00faa en activo con sus conciertos (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomajazz.com\/conciertos\/2008\/11\/ibrahim_abdullah.htm\" target=\"_blank\">recientemente visitaba Bilbao<\/a>) y con sus grabaciones.\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>En el a\u00f1o 2008 publicaba <span>Senzo<\/span>: una grabaci\u00f3n a piano solo realizada en 2008 en los estudios de Colonia de la WDR alemana. Este veterano relata una historia que con una duraci\u00f3n de 57 minutos aparece repartida en en 22 cap\u00edtulos. Sin prisa, pero sin pausa, va destilando sus influencias y dejando constancia de sus particulares homenajes y referencias a la sencillez de la m\u00fasica africana, el <span>gospel<\/span>, a Duke Ellington y John Coltrane, al impresionismo y c\u00f3mo no, sobre todo y fundamentalmente, al jazz.<\/p>\n<p>Todo pasa por sus manos para hacer de la suya una m\u00fasica de una belleza desarmante con unas composiciones (todas suyas, salvo su visi\u00f3n de \u00abIn A Sentimental Mood\u00bb) en las que casi no se distinguen las melod\u00edas de sus variaciones, convirti\u00e9ndola en un todo que fluye y se transforma.
