Uno de los grupos de mayor longevidad y estabilidad dentro del jazz. Una formaci\u00f3n con sonoridad propia. En verano de 2017 el grupo ha cumplido 47 a\u00f1os de andadura y hasta el momento suma 29 trabajos discogr\u00e1ficos.<\/p>\n<p>El cuarteto se mantuvo intacto hasta el fallecimiento del percusionista <strong>Collin Walcott<\/strong> (nov-84). En el \u00faltimo trabajo publicado hasta la fecha, <em>Family Tree<\/em> (2012), aun se manten\u00eda el contrabajista inicial <strong>Glenn Moore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A finales del 2016, <strong>Oregon<\/strong>, realiz\u00f3 una gira con sus dos miembros fundacionales restantes, <strong>Paul McCandless<\/strong> (saxo soprano, oboe, corno ingl\u00e9s y clarinete bajo) y <strong>Ralph Towner<\/strong> (piano, teclados y guitarra), m\u00e1s el baterista <strong>Mark Walker<\/strong> (18 a\u00f1os en el grupo) y el contrabajista <strong>Paolino Della Porta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La banda ha anunciado un nuevo trabajo discogr\u00e1fico en el sello CamJazz (con el que viene grabando desde 2005).<\/p>\n<p>Las caratulas de la imagen corresponden a los tres vinilos grabados para sello ECM, <em>Oregon<\/em>\u00a0(1983), <em>Crossing<\/em>\u00a0(1984, finalizado poco antes de la defunci\u00f3n de Walcott) y <em>Ecotopia<\/em>\u00a0(1987, con <strong>Trilok Gurtu<\/strong> a las percusiones); as\u00ed como el trabajo precedente, <em>In Performance<\/em>\u00a0(1979).<\/p>\n<p>Seleccionado por\u00a0<strong>Joan Cort\u00e8s<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Un grupo: Oregon.
