Concierto de Stacey Kent el 8 de julio en el XX Festival de Jazz de San Javier<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><\/center><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La cantante norteamericana Stacey Kent, protagoniz\u00f3 el segundo concierto de la noche en el Auditorio Parque Almansa \u2013el primero fue para el grupo del pianista Thierry Lang\u2013 con un \u00e9xito relativo dado su estado, el efecto en su voz de una bronquitis pasada recientemente, como anunci\u00f3 la organizaci\u00f3n del festival en la presentaci\u00f3n de la vocalista. No obstante he de decir que cumpli\u00f3 con creces las expectativas que se esperaban de ella. Kent, es una gran profesional de la m\u00fasica y supo conquistar con su encanto y cordialidad a los presentes en el auditorio. Acompa\u00f1ada por su marido, el saxofonista Jim Tomlinson, y una secci\u00f3n r\u00edtmica compacta: el pianista Graham Harvey, Jeremy Brown al contrabajo y Josh Morrison en la bater\u00eda, ofreci\u00f3 un recital con temas bien escogidos que agradaron, en buena medida, a sus seguidores. La influencia francesa estuvo presente en el repertorio con la canci\u00f3n \u201cLes Amours Perdues\u201d de Serge Gainsbourg. El grupo volvi\u00f3 sobre los ritmos de <em>bossa nova<\/em> con la bella partitura llamada \u201cPhotograph\u201d de Antonio Carlos Jobim, una delicada y sugestiva interpretaci\u00f3n en la voz de Kent. Otros temas, como: \u201cHappy Talk\u201d, \u201cFace I Love\u201d y \u201cVery Thought Of You\u201d, fueron parte tambi\u00e9n de ese todo rom\u00e1ntico en los que la cantante mostr\u00f3 su faceta m\u00e1s dulce y persuasiva. La interpretaci\u00f3n del tema \u201cAguas de Mar\u00e7o\u201d de Jobim, compartida a dos voces con Jim Tomlinson, no logr\u00f3, en mi opini\u00f3n, trascender m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de lo anodino y conciso, salvo el buen acompa\u00f1amiento de la secci\u00f3n r\u00edtmica. \u201cBreakfast On The Morning Tram\u201d fue uno de los temas de su propia cosecha que incluy\u00f3 en el concierto. Despu\u00e9s le siguieron \u201cLa Rua Madureira\u201d de Nino Ferrer y \u201cO B\u00eabado E A Equilibrista \/ Smile\u201d de Charles Chaplin y \u201cShadow Waltz\u201d.
