Con frecuencia, con una vida aut\u00f3noma. En 2000, el sello de Chicago Atavistic puso en marcha su colecci\u00f3n Unheard Music Series, con el objetivo de recuperar en CD trabajos de jazz de vanguardia de los 60 y 70 que estaban fuera de cat\u00e1logo cuando no olvidados o in\u00e9ditos. Durante los 8 a\u00f1os que dur\u00f3 la serie, editaron m\u00e1s de 60 referencias de <em>free jazz<\/em> de importantes m\u00fasicos americanos (Joe McPhee, Fred Anderson, Sun Ra, Steve Lacy, Clifford Thornton\u2026) y europeos (Br\u00f6tzmann, Schlippenbach, Globe Unity Orchestra\u2026), de gente menos conocida de ambos lados del Atl\u00e1ntico (Luther Thomas, Mount Everest Trio\u2026), y otros. El \u00faltimo disco que se public\u00f3 fue un soberbio concierto de 1964 de Joe Maneri y el baterista Peter Dolger que hab\u00eda permanecido in\u00e9dito: <em>Peace Concert<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Eran ediciones respetuosas, no edulcoradas, con un buen trabajo de audio (hasta donde se pod\u00eda en ocasiones).
