Al contrario de lo que su nombre indica, esta formaci\u00f3n que public\u00f3 seis grabaciones en la d\u00e9cada de los a\u00f1os 80 del siglo XX, era un septeto en formaci\u00f3n no muy habitual: tres vientos (saxos, trompeta y tromb\u00f3n con el propio Threadgill, Raul Siddik o Ted Daniel a la trompeta y Frank Lacy o Bill Lowe al tromb\u00f3n), chelo y contrabajo (Diedre Murray y Fred Hopkins), m\u00e1s dos bateristas &#8211; percusionistas (Reggie Nicholson, Pheeroan AkLaff o Newman Bajer) que computaban como un \u00fanico instrumentista. En HDO 454 escuchamos m\u00fasica inclu\u00edda en You Know The Number y Easily Sleep Into Another World.
