Siempre hay excepciones, por supuesto, y algunos artistas de pa\u00edses como Francia, Alemania, Argentina o el Reino Unido son tan c\u00e9lebres como determinadas glorias del otro lado del Atl\u00e1ntico, por no hablar del inter\u00e9s que suscitan determinados jazzistas \u201cde culto\u201d en la cr\u00edtica y la afici\u00f3n m\u00e1s ac\u00e9rrima.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando se habla del jazz italiano se suelen citar, entre otros, los nombres de Paolo Fresu, Enrico Rava, Enrico Pieranunzi y Stefano Bollani, m\u00fasicos con una larga y fecunda trayectoria internacional. La de Vanessa Tagliabue es una de esas propuestas \u201clocales\u201d que acostumbran a pasar desapercibidas en nuestras latitudes, pese ha haber publicado en 2016 un disco, <em>Contradanza<\/em>, con claras reminiscencias latinas, al menos en el t\u00edtulo. Ese CD que en su d\u00eda fue saludado por la cr\u00edtica transalpina sale ahora reeditado por la discogr\u00e1fica catalana Discmedi.<\/p>\n<p>A partir de un estilo asociado al folclor cubano, aunque en realidad se atribuye su origen a una danza tradicional francesa, Tagliabue Yorke firma un disco que en realidad es tambi\u00e9n un homenaje a Bas Jan Ader, un controvertido performer de origen holand\u00e9s que en 1975 decidi\u00f3 \u201cperder el control\u201d lanz\u00e1ndose a la brava al Oc\u00e9ano con un bote. Muri\u00f3, seg\u00fan parece, en alta mar. As\u00ed, a la deriva \u2014en el mejor de los t\u00e9rminos, no me malinterpreten\u2014, es como Tagliabue Yorke compuso la m\u00fasica de un disco a medio camino entre el jazz \u201cde autor\u201d y la canci\u00f3n de autor, con reminiscencias latinas, rockeras, de vanguardia e, incluso, sinf\u00f3nicas.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta 14 m\u00fasicos colaboran en una obra en la que suenan instrumentos tan variados como el theremin, el harmonium o el banjo. M\u00fasica de largo recorrido, de peque\u00f1os detalles casi progresivos, con visos de eclecticismo, que intenta evocar el viaje alocado de Bas Jan Ader. Algunas piezas \u2014\u201cIn cerca del miracolo\u201d, \u201cThe Tespest\u201d, \u201cNiet Chainie-Andy\u201d\u2014, transmiten un aire turbador. Otras, claramente latino \u2014\u201cIo sono la nostalgia\u201d\u2014. Algunas, incluso ofrecen gui\u00f1os cabareteros \u2014\u201cOcean Wave\u201d, en castellano\u2014 o al dixieland \u2014\u201cSea Santies\u201d\u2014, o al rock setentero \u2014\u201cFrank\u201d\u2014, siempre con una cierta p\u00e1tina de heterodoxia.<\/p>\n<p>Con <em>Contradanza<\/em>, Vanessa Tagliabue Yorke, una cantante que en su pa\u00eds se ha prodigado en otros estilos, nos ofrece un singular mosaico que algunos juzgar\u00e1n como m\u00e1s pr\u00f3ximo a la canci\u00f3n de autor y otros a la heterodoxia jazz\u00edstica.
