Corea se rode\u00f3, en esta ocasi\u00f3n, de un selecto cuadro de m\u00fasicos, con los que ha grabado su \u00faltimo disco, entre ellos el saxofonista Jorge Pardo y el guitarrista Ni\u00f1o comenzar, un breve fragmento de la partitura \u201cPas de Deux\u201d de Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, a modo de preludio, a d\u00fao con el contrabajista Carlitos del Puerto. Enlazada con la introducci\u00f3n, la maquinaria de la banda se puso en marcha y los vientos tocaron el inicio de la pieza \u201cAntidote\u201d, tema hom\u00f3nimo que encabeza su disco recientemente editado <em>Antidote<\/em> (Concord Jazz, 2019). Ni\u00f1o Josele fue el primero en realizar su particular improvisaci\u00f3n, seguido del piano compartido a cuatro manos por Corea con Jos\u00e9 Heredia, hijo de Josele, y el sintetizador, con el que puso una nota electr\u00f3nica de fusi\u00f3n y color, arropados por una contundente secci\u00f3n r\u00edtmica. Tras los <em>backgrounds<\/em>, los vientos, saxo tenor, trompeta y tromb\u00f3n, arrancaron respectivamente con solos potentes y arrolladores, elevando la intensidad del tema. Para acabar con la pieza, Corea invit\u00f3 al bailaor Ni\u00f1o de los Reyes a ocupar la primera l\u00ednea del escenario y marcarse un en\u00e9rgico zapateado. El di\u00e1logo entre guitarra y piano marc\u00f3 la entrada de \u201cThe Yellow Nimbus\u201d del \u00e1lbum <em>Touchstone<\/em> (Warner Records, 1982) en el que colabor\u00f3, entre otros, el guitarrista Paco de Lucia. Los arreglos musicales de la banda decoraron el baile de Reyes, hasta dejarle a d\u00fao con el flautista Jorge Pardo, formando un t\u00e1ndem perfectamente interactivo. Hechizo y poder\u00edo se iban adue\u00f1ando de la sesi\u00f3n, para hacer las delicias de un p\u00fablico callado y muy atento al desarrollo de cada pieza. Siguieron con \u201cDuende\u201d, un tema relajado en el que destacaron los arreglos de ensue\u00f1o de la secci\u00f3n de vientos, y los solos de trompeta, tromb\u00f3n y piano. Corea, anunci\u00f3 \u201cMy Spanish Heart\u201d, una revisi\u00f3n del tema que encontramos en su disco <em>My Spanish Heart<\/em> (Kendun Recorders, 1976) y que vuelve a integrar en el \u00e1lbum editado en este a\u00f1o, con la colaboraci\u00f3n de Rub\u00e9n Blades. \u201cArmando\u2019s Rhumba\u201d, en el que lucieron los sensacionales arreglos y solos realizados por Davis, Pardo, Rodriguez, Corea, y un mano a mano entregado entre Reyes y Quintero, con el apoyo de Marcus Gilmore. Las ovaciones del p\u00fablico hicieron volver a la banda para iniciar el esperado \u201cConcierto de Aranjuez\u201d del compositor Joaqu\u00edn Rodrigo, que fusionaron con \u201cSpain\u201d, temas habituales en las despedidas de los directos de Corea, que impuls\u00f3 un cierre de concierto apote\u00f3sico con la participaci\u00f3n de los coros de un p\u00fablico rendido a la formaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Lo cierto es que este nuevo proyecto de Chick Corea representa un precioso y merecido homenaje a los m\u00fasicos, algunos de ellos ya desaparecidos, y a la m\u00fasica flamenca, tan integrada en el coraz\u00f3n del gran compositor.
