El disco est\u00e1 considerado como uno de los mejores de la etapa <em>postbop<\/em> de los a\u00f1os 70.<\/p>\n<p>En el 2018 se cumplieron por tanto 50 a\u00f1os desde su grabaci\u00f3n. Escuchado ahora en un buen equipo de sonido, la verdad es que los temas dejan gran sabor de boca. Muy activo estuvo el pianista Keith Brown y el bater\u00eda Lenny White, y quiz\u00e1 menos protagonismo tuvo el contrabajista Buster Williams.<\/p>\n<p>El concierto estuvo dominado por brillantes intercambios y transiciones del saxo y la trompeta, con una secci\u00f3n r\u00edtmica bien dimensionada por el bater\u00eda Lenny White que, aunque le hemos visto en otras facetas, estuvo a la altura de las circunstancias que le fueron marcando tanto el piano como el contrabajista. Keith Brown dio toda una demostraci\u00f3n de grandes solos en los que por momentos pod\u00edamos escuchar ecos de Herbie Hancock e incluso de McCoy Tyner. El gigante Jesse Davis mostr\u00f3 su fortaleza con intensos solos al estilo del gran Jackie McLean, uno de los mentores de Tolliver en los 70.<\/p>\n<p>El quinteto interpret\u00f3 las seis piezas que se incluyeron en el disco. \u00abEarl&#8217;s World\u00bb, \u00abPeace With Myself\u00bb, \u00abRight Now\u00bb, \u00abHousehold of Saud\u00bb, \u00abLil&#8217;s Paradise\u00bb y \u00abPaper Man\u00bb, conforman un corpus musical de claro sabor a\u00f1ejo. En unos tiempos en los que el jazz llenaba los clubes con humo y mucho ruido, y los solos de trompeta y saxo eran jaleados por los aficionados. Unos ritmos en los que la complicidad del p\u00fablico incentivaba a los m\u00fasicos a conseguir metas m\u00e1s altas. Una m\u00fasica que todav\u00eda es capaz de remover los sentimientos y de alterar conciencias. El jazz sigui\u00f3 evolucionando. Por un momento el tiempo se par\u00f3 y volvimos al pasado.
