Tal y como sucede en sus CD, el disco incluye su correspondiente homenaje comenzando por la portada, que en este caso est\u00e1 dedicado -sorprendentemente- al <em>smoth jazz<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El asunto podr\u00eda quedar en forma de una\u00a0broma musical\u00a0malintencionada, en un chiste de mal gusto. Afortunadamente no es as\u00ed. <strong>Moppa Elliott<\/strong>, tal y como ocurre en la pr\u00e1ctica totalidad de las piezas que el grupo ha grabado a lo largo de su carrera (el resto entrar\u00eda en la categor\u00eda de <em>standards<\/em>), es el autor de los nueve temas (en esta ocasi\u00f3n no toca revisar composici\u00f3n ajena alguna). Bajo unos t\u00edtulos inspirados en poblaciones de su Pennsylvania natal, este autor ha tomado ciertos giros y elementos propios del <em>smooth<\/em> <em>jazz<\/em> que ha incorporado a sus composiciones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El cuarteto maneja esas buenas melod\u00edas como \u00fanicamente un grupo perfectamente engrasado puede hacerlo: preciso en las partes compuestas, se muestra sumamente libre en los amplios espacios que quedan para la improvisaci\u00f3n; todo ello sin perder en ning\u00fan momento su gran sentido del humor, las ganas de disfrutar con la m\u00fasica y de transmitir ese sentimiento al oyente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los cuatro integrantes tienen unas enormes carreras en solitario (especialmente el trompetista <strong>Peter<\/strong> <strong>Evans<\/strong> que se est\u00e1 convirtiendo en un m\u00fasico imprescindible dentro del jazz y la libre improvisaci\u00f3n actuales, sin olvidar al saxofonista <strong>Jon<\/strong> <strong>Irabagon<\/strong> ni al inquieto baterista <strong>Kevin<\/strong> <strong>Shea<\/strong>), que estil\u00edsticamente no tienen que ver demasiado con el conglomerado de estilos que es <strong>Mostly Other People Do The Killing<\/strong>.
